The history of diamonds is entined with the history of the world,pliny, a roman naturalist in the first century ,described diamond as the most valuable,not only of precious stones,but of all the things in this world. one of the most thing that people should know about diamond is that every diamond is unique . Diamonds come in many sizes,shapes,and colors,and with a variety of internal and surface characteristic.

what makes diamond so special ? different people have different answers to that question .a research scientist might say it's condition under diamonds form in the earth.an economist might say it's their rarity .a consomer might say it's their association with love and beauty.and they'd all be right.the natural world is commonly diveded into three kingdoms:animal,plant,and mineral .members of the animal and plants kingdoms are alive .that's means they are organic .mineral aren't alive...

Three traits of all Gems

A subtance isn't automatically considered a gem just because it falls in the mineral category ,items like bones,seeds,and hair have all been used in jewelry ,but that doesnt place them in the same category as rubies ,pearls,and amber. To be a gem , a substance must share three important traits with all other gems: beauty,rarity,and durability.each trait,however,represents a range ,so all gems can posses diffrent levels of all three traits.
